Acupuncture

I offer full private acupuncture treatments for approximately what you will pay to go to a community acupuncture clinic.  You will not find a better deal in NYC.  I thought long and hard about pricing and wanted a price point that is accessible for everyone yet still allows me to make a living.  Everybody wins.

Over the years I have learned many different effective methods but what I have found the most important is learning to listen to my client's body through observation and palpation.  I palpate the body to ascertain what points are active, what meridians are out of balance and in what way things are askew (excess/deficiency, hot/cold, etc).  The pulses in the wrist and neck let me know what effect has taken place in the body.  As a result every session is slightly different.

Herbs

I learned herbs the old way.  I tasted and took notes on the effects of 200 plus herbs I ingested over a number of years of training.  Today many practitioners bypass the framework of Traditional Chinese Herbal Formulation and just look for "What formula is good for headache? etc"  Chinese Herbal Formulation is built on a series of overlapping maps.  First the pattern of disharmony much be discovered through questioning, observation, and palpating the client.  The map of the pattern of disharmony can be overlaid with maps of relevant herbs and herbal formulas which allows a practitioner such as myself to be much more exacting.
